1967

Prent Established

Jack Pregont starts Prent Corporation on Harding Street in Janesville, WI with two thermoform machines and 15 employees.

1974

Prent Relocates

Prent relocates to a new facility on Kennedy Rd. in Janesville, WI to address double digit sales growth since 1967.

1983

Extrusion Starts

Plastic sheet extrusion starts at Harding St.

1985

Joe Pregont Becomes CEO

Joe Pregont, second generation, becomes the President and CEO of Prent Corporation.

1988

CNC Machining

Prent introduces CNC machined production tooling to address customers' needs for a more repeatable finished part.

1990

GOEX

GOEX Corporation is spun off to build a dedicated facility to focus on driving high quality plastics to the medical market and niche markets.

1993

ISO Certified

Prent becomes the 1st thermoformer to be ISO 9000 certified.

1993

Opens Satellite Facility

Prent opens the 1st satellite manufacturing facility in Flagstaff, AZ utilizing Prent's standardized thermoformers that are designed and built by Prent.

1995

Prent Flagstaff Recognized

Prent AZ is recognized by the city of Flagstaff for pioneering environmental leadership.

1998

Clean Room Manufacturing Begins

Prent WI 1st clean room manufacturing begins.

1998

Prent Goes Global

Prent's footprint expands globally by opening its first greenfield manufacturing facility in Malaysia to address the packaging needs for electronics and medical device companies.

2005

Prent Opens Second APAC Facility

Prent opens a second APAC facility in Shanghai, China. A new facility is built in 2009 and operations are expanded and updated in 2012 with clean room manufacturing.

2006

Puerto Rico

Prent opens a clean room manufacturing facility in Yauco, Puerto Rico to service medical and pharmaceutical OEM's in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

2007

Machine Build Facility Opens

Prent constructs a dedicated Machine Build facility in WI to build identical thermoformers used globally. Matched equipment globally allows for a repeatable process, simplified tool transfer validations, and fulfills risk mitigation needs for customers and Prent alike.

2010

Denmark

Prent opens a certified clean room manufacturing facility in Holbaek, Denmark. The facility is favorably positioned to service the entire European community. In 2013 a strategically located JIT warehouse is set up in Ireland to meet the growing customer base.

2012

Costa Rica

Prent builds a clean room manufacturing facility in Heredia, Costa Rica to address the medical OEM needs in the Central American Isthmus and South America.

2015

New GOEX Facility

GOEX builds a state-of-the-art plastic rollstock and sheeting extrusion facility in Janesville, WI. Continued growth prompted the need to expand the facility in 2015 to house additional personnel, equipment and technology.

2016

3rd Generation

The 3rd generation of Pregonts, (Michael, Joe II, and Rachel), join the leadership team at Goex or Prent.

2016

Progressive Tool Room

Prent WI reinvests in a multi-million dollar tool room that incorporates a custom, 24/7 automated CNC tool milling system and newer CNC mills to build tools faster and improve the customer's speed to market.

2019

Mexico

Rosarito, MX is the location of Prent's 10th, and newest, certified class 8 clean room satellite manufacturing site. The facility is strategically located to service the medical cluster in the Tijuana/Baja region.

2024

Texas

Prent opens its newest manufacturing site in El Paso, Texas to serve the healthcare market and reach the Chihuahua region and as far south as Mexico City. This facility is ISO 13845 certified, equipped with Prent built thermoformers, and includes a certified class 7 clean room.
